Cloud Backup

The golden rule for data backups is known as the 3-2-1 rule. This refers to the practice of always keeping three copies of your data, which should be stored on at least two different forms of storage media and at least one copy should be stored separately from the other two.

For a single user, the 3-2-1 rule might look like having your data stored locally on your computer, then backed up to an external hard drive and then also backed up to a cloud storage environment. Here you can see we have three copies of the data, being stored using two different methods (physical and cloud) and the cloud copy is housed safely away from the other two copies. 3-2-1.

When at least one copy is stored in the cloud, it can give you peace of mind that you have a safe copy even if a disaster like a fire destroyed your physical copies.

We use Veeam Cloud Connect software to encrypt and compress your data before it is securely uploaded to a cloud environment. For businesses looking into cloud backups as part of a disaster recovery plan, Veeam Cloud Connect allows for a full failover to a virtual disaster recovery site within minutes, letting you maintain business continuity.

It isn’t just files and folders which can or should be backed up. Computers, servers and even entire networks can be backed up and virtualized using Veeam Cloud Connect’s technology too.

Professional Cloud Backup Services

At Carden IT Services, we assert that for a backup to be genuinely reliable, we must have confidence in the integrity of each phase in the backup process. That is why, in the UK, Carden IT Services owns and operates its own data centres, giving us full granular control and accountability of all of the cloud backups we handle.

Every one of our clients has a dedicated account manager who takes the time to get to know your company and how you use data. They will then go through a range of options and work in conjunction with our cloud services team to help you select and execute the right storage choice for your company once they have a clear understanding of your needs.

Cloud backups may be tailored to each customer’s specific needs and budget. Some of the companies with whom we work are content with a complete data backup every 24 hours, while others want continuous rolling backups.
